West-Japan Flood Disaster Relief Campaign

Unprecedented heavy rainfall in West-Japan brought devastating disaster such as floods and landslides in wide area with death toll of more than 200 and 60 people missing as of July 12th. Over2,000 people are still left in affected areas without logistical access to necessities of life.
With the summer high-heat and long-time hardships, affected people are forced to live in very severe condition.
YMCA will support affected people and communities with relief work and long-term rehabilitation programs in which YMCA’s network, knowledge and skill are effectively utilized.

・Relief work (Sludge Scraping etc.）
・Recreational Activity and Psychological Aid for Children
・Inviting Children to YMCA Summer Camping programs
As YMCAs in Japan, we will collectively work together to support affected communities in Hiroshima and Okayama.
