It drizzled from last night to an early morning, but rain stopped when we Start preparation. The first runners of long‐distance relay race was started all at once together by the signal of the pistol by event chairman Mr. Sato Muneyuki. Wide generation from kinder garten children to 60’s runners and people with difficulties were running as fast as they could hand over sash and teamwork to the next runner.
This time we could see the scenes that many visitors cheered or run together with runner in the field. Especially it was impressive that nursery or kindergarten children were running together with their friends in the field. In family run race each team member showed elaborated costume and performance this year. All runners of long‐distance relay race and family run completed running and finished the event.
After lunch time blind Soccer trial experience for people with visual difficulty. By members of “ Coruja Sendai Blind football Club ” , 1/1000 full marathon, And playing field for children corner were held, and we rote massages to deepen understanding about Charity run at the Reader corner. We could finish the 23rd international charity run with two events that became the first action this time without severe injury exiting with all the participants.

前日から早朝まで小雨が降っておりましたが、 会場の準備開始時間には雨が上がり、曇りの中、運営ボランティアが 会場設営を行いました。
駅伝の部は、39チームの第一走者が仙台YMCA チャリティーランの大会会長であるさとう宗幸さんの ピストルの合図で一斉に勢いよくスタートしました。 ランナーは、保育園児・幼稚園児から60代まで幅広く、 障がいのあるランナーも一緒に懸命に走り、 次のランナーへたすきとチームワークをつないでいました。
今回は、ランナーに対して声援や競技場内を一緒に走る姿が多く見られました。 特に保育園・幼稚園チームは、競技場内の仲間と一緒に走る姿が印象的でした。
ファミリーランでは、今年もチームそれぞれが趣向を凝らしたコスチュームや パフォーマンスを見せていました。 今大会も駅伝の部、ファミリーランの部ともにすべてのランナーが完走し、 競技を終えました。 昼食後は、「コルジャ仙台ブラインドサッカークラブ」の皆さんによる、 視覚障害者によるサッカー体験会や、1000分の1フルマラソン、 キッズコーナーでの遊び場、リーダーコーナーにてチャリティーランのことについて 理解を深めるための寄せ書きを行いました。 昨年度と違い天候が持ち直し、今回初の取り組みとなった2つのイベントとともに 参加者全員で盛り上がった第23回目のインターナショナル・チャリティーラン となりました。そして、大きな怪我もなく終えることができました。
