Although we had to cancel the event for the first time in the history of the Nara Charity Run due to the influence of typhoon 21 last year , this year we were supported by almost as many sponsors as last year.
Also this year participation from new companies and organizations increased and participants consisted of theme of this event including entry of 4 teams and participation of individual runs from Special Olympics Japan and Nara. NHK Nara Broadcasting Station announced beforehand and the announcer team entered. The Nara newspaper also posted articles on the 28th and we were interviewed by Kintetsu Cable Network, and state of the coverage was broadcasted on the information program “K Sta” on October 30 (Tue) 19: 00-19: 30. We were able to tell more people message that YMCA cherished as well as the state of the charity run by them.
Another thing to note is that even in Nara YMCA, “Youth empowerment” is being promoted,
Many Youth Leaders participated in the Executive Committee in advance from preparation stage this year same as before also contributed to management of the event day (moderator · runner etc.)
By idea of Youth Leader volunteers participants wore a wrist band to hope that the peoples’ heart would be one for the same goal (support for challenged children). Nara YMCA will continue to strongly promote this youth empowerment.

昨年度は、台風21号の影響で奈良大会史上初めて『中止』となりましたが、今年度はほぼ昨年度と同数のスポンサーに協賛いただきました。
また、今年度は、新規企業、団体からの参加が増え、スペシャルオリンピックス日本・奈良から4チームと個人ランにも参加され、この大会のテーマにあった参加者構成となりました。
また、NHK奈良放送局が事前告知とアナウンスチームがチームエントリーしていただき、奈良新聞社では28日に記事が掲載され、近鉄ケーブルネットワークから取材を受けその様子を10月30日19：00からの情報番組「Kスタ」にて放映されるなど、チャリティーランはもちろんYMCAが大切にしているメッセージをより多くの人びとに伝えることができました。
奈良YMCAでも「ユース・エンパワーメント」を推進しています。特記すべきこととして、今回も事前の実行委員会に多くのユースリーダーが準備段階から参画し、当日運営（司会・ランナー他）にも貢献したことと合わせ、ユースリーダーの発案で参加者ボランティアが同じ目標（障がい児支援）へ向けて「心が一つになるように」と願い「リストバンド」を身につけました。
奈良YMCAではこれからもこのユース・エンパワーメントを強く推進していきたいと思います。
