Q1. How many students and what nationalities are there?
A. Now we have 40 students, March 2008. Their nationalities are Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, American, Australian and Nepali.
Q2. How much is the expense for a month?
A. As the average, it takes about 30,000 – 50,000 for a month.
The details are: Lighting and heating expenses / 5,000 yen-
Food budget / 20,000 – 30,000 yen, Mobile phone fee / 5,000 – 10,000 yen
Furthermore, you need to pay 3,000 yen for physical checkup fee and 18,000 yen for health
insurance fee for a year.
*In case you get cold and consult a doctor with no insurance, it will take
5,000 – 10,000 yen. If you use insurance, it will take only 1,000 – 2,000 yen.
Q3. Can I get a part-time job? (For students who have the status “college student”)
A. After three months you study Japanese hard, we will show your grade and attendance percentage and apply to immigration bureau for a permit to engage in activity other than that permitted by the status of residence previously granted. The type of activity is language teaching, work at factory, service at restraints etc., and the average hourly salary is 750 – 800 yen.
Q4. Can I use student discount? (For students who have the status “college student”)
A. Yes, you can apply for student commuter’s ticket and student discount when you use facilities of travel.
Q5. Do you have scholarship system? (For students who have the status “college student”)
A. Yes, one student receives “Honors scholarship for Privately Financed International Students” from Japan Student Services Organization now. We recommend the students whose grade, attitude, attendance, percentage at school and grade of “Examination for Japanese University Admission for International students” are excellent.
