1982年、福岡在住の外国人のために、日常使われる実用会話の習得、異文化理解を目的に開設されました。その後1989年4月より、就学ビザ取得可能な全日制コースが解説されました。アジアをはじめ、世界各地から集まった多くの学生が、進学や以後となどそれぞれの目的を実現させるために本校で日本語を学び、卒業後は母国で、また日本で活躍しています。ＹＭＣＡは、みなさんが日本語と日本文化をさまざまな国の人たちと共に学ぶことにより、相互理解を図りながら、母国であるいは日本で、共に生きる平和な社会づくりのために活躍することを願っています。
Fukuoka YMCA Japanese language courses were established in 1982 to provide practical conversation courses for foreign nationals in Fukuoka, and to promote international understanding. Then, we also started full-time courses which make it possible to obtain pre-college student visas. Many students from all over the world learn Japanese language and culture at Fukuoka YMCA to make their dreams come true. After graduating from Fukuoka YMCA, they remain bring about a peaceful society
